Reiki
What is Reiki?
Reiki is a light and non-invasive form of energy healing in which the practitioner places their hands above and around the patient's body to affect the subtle electromagnetic energy of the body. This movement of energy promotes the body's natural healing process and enables enhanced self-healing in the patient.
Reiki and the Chakras
In a reiki session the practitioner will typically focus on moving energy around and through the 7 main energy centres of the body, also know as chakras.
Each chakra is a focal point for various aspects of self including mind, emotions, physical body and spiritual connection. If energy is stuck or not flowing correctly through any of these energy centres then this can manifest as an imbalance in the energy field which can result in some form of illness or disease.
